I have recently become very interested in the theory of 'Temporal Discounting'. As a coach I often find myself working with clients who struggle with committing to longer term work where the benefits, the pay off, is so distant that is difficult to see the future value. This book perfectly captures the essence of planning for the future; the sense that taking the time and making the effort to do the work now that will realise immense benefits in the future.
